think its only fitting that i make today an exception and put on a love song.. its v day, though doesn't feel much diff from norm..haha.. where do i begin today? ok, first let me be happy abt my time trial yest, new personal best of 9:14.. but b.soh being b.soh said something along the lines of "if only you could play as well as you run" and something abt being a 'blur clown'..grrrr..mmm ok, i would've preferred a compliment but ohwells, take it with a pinch of salt then.. so, coming back to today, i have never seen so many flowers chocs balloons soft toys cookies sweets couples, all in the same day! i swear i almost had a diabetes overflow given all those cookies and chocs and sweets and lollipops.. honestly didnt expect the s25 girls to give us gifts.. makes me feel thick-skinned to receive their gifts while empty-handed.. and good news, mq finally broke out of his 2-wk long shell and started talking normally to us once agn.. hey, this is the nice mq that we all hope to see.. haha.. aft sch is when all the real fun starts..hehe

i know its never a good thing to shed tears on v day, but what if its due to laughing so darn hard that i felt like dying any min? goodness gracious, e single, unattached guys (aka s club 7 with a few crashers) changed our mtg place fr matthew lee's place to some open floor on top of vivo.. first time i laughed so much this yr, what with prav's antics past & present.. oh, and our dear #17 came up with the punchline of the yr, and its only feb..that alone was worth the trip.. not to mention our very own hobbit teaching the rest of us how to fold hearts from a couple of straws.. what a sight it must have been to passers-by, watching a bunch of 17-18 yr old bums folding hearts..

despite all the fun i had today, still think that v day is an overrated marketing gimmick, never mind abt st. valentine.. i don't see the point in couples pampering each other on "this special day" in a day.. hello? what abt the other 364 days? ok, if they wanna choose today to specially dress up and have dinner at some nice place, ok fine, its always good to spice up your lives now and then.. but flowers? take it from my inexperienced mind, bith those things won't even make it to see sunday morning, so why bother buying? softs toys, jewellery, usable stuff i can understand, at least those things last, but flowers serve no purpose other than make the girl happy for the first 5 mins of the date, aft which it becomes a burden, what with having to carry it all over the place.. all this coming from a hopeless romantic, perhaps i'm being a lil too skeptical here, but practicality counts too ok? haha.. enjoy whatever's left of yr v day kiddos!
